Dave brings more than 40 years’ hands-on experience across business operations across freight, logistics, transport, security, Warehouse Management. With over 25 years in senior management across Otago, Southland and Canterbury.

He has led business units for national and international organisations including Team Global Express, Crown Worldwide, NZ Van Lines, PBT and Freightways, with responsibility for people, performance, operations, sales, service, logistics, facilities and health and safety.

Dave is known for turning around underperforming business units by building strong teams, sharpening systems, lifting service levels and creating a culture of continuous improvement.

His style is practical, people-centred and calm under pressure. He combines clear systems, sound administration and strong customer focus with trusted relationships across staff, contractors, customers and stakeholders.

He has completed business and management development through Christchurch Polytechnic, the Otago Chamber of Commerce Xcellerate Diploma of Business Management, and attended the New Zealand Institute of Directors Governance Development Programme. He also brings the practical grounding of an early trade background as a heavy equipment auto engineer and service as an Army Reserve infantry soldier.

Based in Dunedin, Dave helps business owners strengthen their people, processes, performance and profitability. He takes time to understand how each business really works, then connects clients with practical support from across the Strategize team.
